today we went to my grandparents house.we had a ncie lunch and were chatting for some time.my moms sisters kids also came there.i think this trip was like a emotional boost to me making me to think that i have some people who will be there if i am in
help.akka (cousin) has come from chennai with her kid.her name is shruthi and she seldom speaks.she is cute and is about 2.5 years
old but is not speaking peoperly.i dunno why?i asked my mom and she told that even my cousins mom took allmost 5 years to
pseak.when her mom was kid she never spoke untill she reached the age of 5.it seems all people freaked out and took her to hospital
and had done all the tests.only when they found that nothing was abnormal they were happy.my akka's hubby is planning to shift to
bangalore.this story they are telling for the past couple of months.seems the official order had not yet come from the head office.she
also told me that his company is sending him to bombay for a training program in SAP.SAP is related to ERP (enterprise resource
planning).i have to stay in my akkas house for a couple of days.i phoned my HR in chennai to know about my training.seems they are
in the procss of finalising it.he asked me to phone again in july last weekened.my firend is staying there in west muggaper.i think 90%
i will be staying with him.i have a training period for about one month and then i will be posted again in chennai but in a different
palce.all my friends xcept a few including me have joined their companies.seems training program is a hell and it is same for all the
companies.but being a BE CSE it would be a piece of cake.seems they are boring with their lectures.my anna (cousin brother) was
supposed to come there today.but he never came due to some work.seems work is hectic in infosys.he is in mainframe.today nearly
80% all code that is running is written in cobol.i hate mainframes as others.seems it is the most bore shit that u can get in a software
industry.luckily there is no mainframe division in my company.we have a offshore development centre for CISCO.our company mainly
concenterstes in few areas that involves research and problem solving.we are a service provider and at the same time a solution
provider.my company has turn around of around 400 million $.we rank 5 th in india.the next fact that am proud about the company is
that it was started by a tamil like me in an attic some 20 years ago.now it has grown in to one of the leading software companies in
india.am really looking forward to join it.i received several mails from my freinds.we have a group in yahoo and some 41 are member
in it.we are a closley knitted group (think so) and the closesness between any 2 people will be the same.hope this bonding last till the
end.2 of my friends training is over and it seems they will be posted in china.they work for NCR Corporation.lucky bastards they have
got to go to abroad with in this very very short time.i really envy them.they are going abroad but am still here starring at my stupid
computer.i have to tell another fact about those 2 guys.in my college the placements started when we had our 6 th semester
holidays.my company came 3rd to our college and i got placed.now its more than a year since i got placed.those last 2 semesters (7
and 8) were the most happiest part of of life.i hardly studied during those semesters.i had been offered a well paid jon still having to
study for one more year.thats kinda cool.ok lets come to the story.those 2 guys attended allmost all the companies that came to my
college.but they never had a chance to proove their worth in any of those companies.many multinationals like microsoft,oracle,ibm,motorola,deshaw,juno online etc come to my college for campus recruitment.those 2 guys fialed either in all interviews or in apptitude tests.they both attended NCR Corporation offcampus.this ocurred some 10 days before our convocation.but NCR made some delay in announcing the results.convacation came we received our coveted BE degree (BS) and our college life came to an end.few more weks passed and on day my friend phoned me to tell that he was recruited for NCR Corporation.i am very very happy for his recruitment.he is worthy for that job i think.now he is in the company and going to china.but me who had scored more grade points than them and who got placed some 400 days ago to them is still siting in front of this computer and typing this blog.thats what u call fate.still 2 more weeks for me to join my company hope i will be doing my job to the best of my ability.
