stuff about my visit during diwali hols...
hi all,
am in home now.came fro the diwali hols.came here by a special train.luckily i got the tickets.oh boy u should have seen that mad rush in t-nagar.i can simply say "hell broke loose".everywhere i can see people.people here people there.it sucks.i am leaving to chennai by tomorrow morning by "intercity express".my train starts by 8:00 am.sigh i have to get up by 6:30.now the time is around 10:30 pm and am feeling too sleepy.but have to post this blog before going to sleep.i came on thursday morning on the day of diwali.as soon as i entered the house i slept till 11:00 am.got a call from sarasama.but as i was sleeping my mom anwsered that.she told that she called to wish me.then a call from subaka came.she too wished me and they invited me to their home for lunch.we went there by 2:30 in the afternoon.adirai was there and she had broken her head.poor gal allways crying.may be due to pain.3 stitches has to be done to contain the bleeding.we ate there.mom and dad were discussing their stuff.sangavi and nandhu were there.nandhu was bursting crackers all the time.i joined them but nothing was left that time.i burst 2 lakshmi vedi.thats it.nandhu is studying 3rd standard.he is a naughty boy.my father will never forget to complain about him.when i was in his age was damn afraid of bursting crackers.now seeing this small boy bursting crackers i felt ashamed.
shanmugam mams came too from chennai.we guys were discussing some serious stuff regarding the software industry in india and about other career options.nice fellow he is.he is too practical.then in the night we lit flower pots,sparklers and stuff.had a nice time.thought of kasipalayam came in to my mind now and then.will tell u about kasipalayam in one of my future posts.had a good dinner and we came back.the next day again bharani anna,manjuka,shruthi,maniamma,periyappa,cheena came here.had a ncie time with them.seems cheena is preparing for IAS.i too have a plan regarding that but dunno what will happen.have to apply some serious thought about it.called arut and police.police is going to germany for his project.lucky fellow.within 3 months after joining a company he has got an onsite oppurtunity.i am happy at the same time i envy him.lucky bastard.jay called me.seems he is doing well in his SAP course.i pray to god that he has to get a good job after finishing his SAP course.
i have to tell u about the stuff going in my company for the past 2 weeks.we guys were dicided in to groups and we were assigned different products.i am in the lotto team.our time comprises 3 fellows including me.other 2 guys are of ok type.no problem with them.we were given assignments now and then.then finally we were asked to customize the lotto product.they gave us a list of specifications.we 3 fellows prepared the SRS and SDS.after that we went for the coding part.we guys started late and were doing great untill the lotto product running in the unix box crashed.we never expected that such a thing will happen.we dont know what we did.but i was pretty sure that nothing was wrong in our part.the product was running fine with all our changes and suddenly it crashed.then we came to know that one more team was working on the same lotto product in the same unix box.holy fuck!!!do u beleive this.2 teams were working on the same product,browsing through the same source code and making changes in the source code without knowing that some other tram is also changing and compiling the code.we were chocked.the cruel part was that since we were the freshers and were the first guys to inform that the product was crashed everybody thought that we 3 screwed the product.
the other team allthough they had a part in this crash down they kept mum making us the scape goats.holy fuckers.these things are very common in the work place i think.there are 2 kinda of people where ever u go
1.those who do all shit
2.those who held responsible
in my case the other team screwed the system and we were held responsible for that mishap.before getting access to the source code of the unix box we made sure that nobody was allowed to work in lotto product.we were given the assurance from the senior programmers that nobody other than us were allowed to work in the box.when the product crashed and when we came to know about the fact that 2 separate teams were working and when we asked the guy who gave us the go ahead signal about the other team he simply said "dont u fellows know that another team is working on the same product?" he asked this to us as if he informed us about the other team.we 3 fellows were in a rege.finally the the product was stabilized and we successfully completed the customization.we 3 guys learnt a nice leasson.
we wont forget this in our life.the pick 4 team got screwed.seems they have to do a lot of customization stuff.they were frantically trying to finish the product but it never worked.i am so happy about the fact that we had a bad start but a good ending.i have took leave tomorrow.will reach chennai by 2:00 in the afternoon.have to sleep well tomorrow in the mansion.
this is the first time that i went out for diwali shopping in chennai.oh boy!!! i bought dresses worth 9,000 bucks.i bought 5 t-shirts,2 formal shirts,2 formal pants,2 jeans.i never thought that i would be spending so much money on diwali.its ok i am buying dresses once in a while.
hmmm , am feeling sleepy catch u people in my next posting...
